“Sundial Place,” was built in 1917 and was a private residence until it was converted into apartments in the early 1960’s. It was later bought by United Savings Federal and Loan and turned into an office space in 1984. “It has a long history and has been home to a lot of stuff,” said developer Kent Arnold, who sold the property. “It’s a very prolific and iconic building.”
The property has many unique features, one being a solar heating system in the back of the house. The sundial you see to the left has been with the home since it was build in 1917.
The property has been entered in THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES by THE ARKANSAS HISTORIC PRESERVATION PROGRAM.
